When you arrive at the airport…
Noi Bai International Airport (IATA: HAN, ICAO: VVNB), the biggest airport in northern Vietnam, serves the capital city of Hanoi. The airport is located 45 kilometers from the city center. The airport terminal provides various services, shopping, dining, currency exchange, ATMs and transportation options.
How could you get to the city center?
Various transportation services, including public taxis, minibus and public buses, are available to Hanoi Noi Bai Airport arrivals level.
1. Public taxi:
Metered Taxis are available on the arrivals level at both Domestic and International terminals. Taxi fare is charged according to taxi meter. Taxi ride to the city center takes about 40 minutes and costs approximately 320,000 VND (15 USD).

2. Bus (number 7, 17 and 86):
Hanoi city buses number 7 and 17 connect Noi Bai Airport with Hanoi city center. The bus stop is just on the right side of the terminal exit. Traveling by bus costs 8,000 VND (0.3 USD) per person and takes about one hour. Buses run every 15-20 minutes from 5 a.m. to 10.35 p.m (on Sunday, from 5 am to 10.30 p.m). Bus number 7 connects the airport to Kim Ma bus station. Bus number 17 connects the airport to Long Bien bus station.
Recently, Hanoi has launched new buses – Bus number 86 in April 2016, which was fastand provide high-quality services. The bus departs from Noi Bai airport between 6:18 am and 10:58 pm and runs every 30 minutes. It will drive you from Noi Bai Airport to Hanoi Station. The price is 30000 VND (1,35 USD), very reasonable.

This is the 45 seat bus run by separate airlines. At present, there are bus shuttle of Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar and VietjetAir. It is not difficult to catch one after leaving from right outside the arrivals exit gate. However you may have to wait until the bus is full before it departs and don't forget you have to take it in domestic terminal

T1 is for domestic flights only. For catching airport bus shuttle, you will need to use a free in-airport bus to travel from T2 gate (for international flights) to T1.

Airport Minibus one way trip to Vietnam Airlines Office on Quang Trung in Hanoi city center costs VND 22,000 for Vietnamese or VND 32,000 (US$2) for foreigners. Fares to other destinations in Hanoi are higher (US$4). Make sure to confirm destination and fare before boarding the minibus. Minibuses leave the airport when the seat are full. Minibus to the airport depart from opposite the Vietnam Airlines Office on Quang Trung street in Hanoi city center.

4. Where can you exchange your home currency:
At the Noibai Terminal 2, on both sides of Arrival Halls are currency exchange desks and ATMs.

- 2 Foreign currency exchange desk: BIDV and Maritime Bank.
- 3 ATM: BIDV, Maritime Bank, VP Bank.

Other tips for you at the airport
- You can get to SIM desks at A1 or A2 hall on the 1st floor to buy one.
- If you lost your luggage, please contact Lost and Found desk on the 1st floor to get help.
- There are only fastfood restaurants at Terminal 2.
- If you have any health problems, head to First Aid Room at A2 Hall, 1st floor, on the opposite side of Big Bowl Restaurant.
- There is a smoking room for smokers.
